Jenny Sui is a principal on the investment team at Craft Ventures. Prior to Craft, she was an early employee at Brex across Operations and Strategic Finance, driving cross-functional strategic planning and scaling the company's operational processes to serve thousands of customers. She also helped launch the company's ecommerce offering, which quickly grew to become Brex's largest and fastest growing product. Jenny started her career at Visa, where she worked on various product teams across consumer credit, IoT, and digital product. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and minor in Statistics from the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of Craft, Jenny serves on the leadership team for Women in Fintech, a non-profit dedicated to promoting and increasing representation in the fintech industry. She is also a mentor for Gold House's Accelerator program and a mentor for Techstars.
EVCA: Describe a defining moment in your career and how it shaped where you are today.
Jenny: Joining Brex in the early days and getting the opportunity to work on a relatively small and scrappy team helped fuel my love for the world of startups and helped guide me to my path in venture capital, for which I am forever grateful.
EVCA: What is an emerging technology trend that will have a significant impact on the world in the next decade.
Jenny: AI has already and will continue to have a very significant impact on the world, and I'm excited to see how things change as innovation rapidly progresses.
