What is a value, principle, or philosophy that has meaningfully shaped your journey? How does it continue to influence how you invest, lead, or approach challenges?
A few values I index on are ethics, teamwork, and will to win. These are core attributes I look for when evaluating a founding team as an investor because ultimately regardless of stage or sector, that’s where it all starts.
Is there a technology, idea, or movement that most people overlook (or dismiss) which you believe will define the next era of innovation? What draws you to this perspective?
I believe one thing I think people overlook is having fun. I would give this advice to anyone starting a company in the next era of innovation as one thing I’ve noticed is that the best companies find opportunities that might seem silly but create great companies’ culture enabling them to attract and retain great people. If you want to sustain high performance over a long period of time, it must feel more than just a “job” to people.
